Unique Book Covers

The percentage of elements that gets me interested on books I read is this:
50% = PLOT
30% = COVER
20% = REVIEWS

So that's it, 30% cover, like whenever I'm browsing on a list of books, I scroll down fast (not that fast), and when my eyes caught something interesting in the cover, I stop, scroll up, and then check the book. Book covers takes a long time to release just like the novel itself, so that means, they're creating book covers carefully because it will have an impact on the readers. That's why I wanna share with you some novels with unique book covers:

1. The Opposite House by Helen Oyeyemi

2. The Tourists by Jeff Hobbs

3. Seventeen Seventeen Jerome by Richard Thornley

4. Under The Dome by Stephen King

5. Hush Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick

6339664

6. Ringworld by Larry Niven

7. Haywire by Justin R. Macumber

13517077

8. Remembrance by Michelle Madow

12177772

9. Incarnate by Jodi Meadows

8573642

10. A Million Suns by Beth Revis

"Unique" has different meaning based on your point of view. Either it is 'odd' or 'artistic'. You decide :)

Book Reactions

Internet meme
An Internet meme is an idea, style or action which spreads, often as mimicry, from person to person via the Internet, as with imitating the concept.

Memes helped me a lot on expressing my emotions and reactions on social media.

For example, book memes:

And I'm totally related to these memes :3
Another type of memes I can relate into are those the-feels meme thingy :D
If you didn't recognize, these are what I'm talking about:

I photo comment that memes when some posts struck me like when I'm on oh-my-broken-feels reaction haha :D And of course, 'Book Sarcasm Memes" are the best haha Just like these:

The second and last memes are about PJO because I'm a demigod, remember?? :) Well, be careful especially on the corn plant :3 haha And the first meme is kind of a pure sarcasm and I loved it
When I finished the Mark Of Athena, I hadn't felt the cliff hanger. Maybe because I'm not a Percabeth shipper, but mostly demigods are like this:

Open-mouthed  hahaha
Another meme where I can REALLY relate is the 'Author Memes' :3 It really describes the author with matching humor just like these:

As I said, Uncle Rick is a killing machine

Oh no, you didn't O_O

Another set of book memes which portrays the novel, focused on the things/scenes on the book:

Blood Of Olympus~!! I really need you now :(

Allegiant feels ~

And then there's the book fandom memes:

There are so many reasons~!! *fangirl mode ON*

True :) Book fandoms don't have expirations, it's for a lifetime

Oh my gods, the truth has been spoken

Hang in there Theo :3

And then there's the book emotions meme (well, not actually a meme, a quote):

This <//3

Totally true :)
Now that I already shared some of the memes I have, can you share yours?? :)

Thirteen Reasons Why book review

My reaction after I finished the book:

The book is full of emotions & sadness, and the way Jay Asher wrote it is way too tragic and everything! I felt sorry for Hannah Baker, and the fact that the people on the cassette tapes only realized their mistakes when Hannah already died! >.< My reaction again:

This is all about the real problems of teenagers. The plot caught my eye, because it is somewhat unique and different, about a girl who commits suicide and recorded her reasons of doing it, and before she commit suicide she sent those cassette tapes to the first person.
From Cassette 1 to 4 (I think), I'm getting carried away by the incidents on that happened to Hannah. But when it came to cassette 5 to 7, the emotions started to get through me, when the tape is already about Clay Jensen, and then Bryce, and then to Mr. Porter. It's kind of a sad moment when it comes to Mr. Porter, that he didn't even know that Hannah is about to take a suicide and he was the last one she talked with, and the only one who had the chance to stop her. This is an overwhelming debut novel, realistic fiction about the problems some teens are facing. I recommend this for those who want to read teen fiction, drama & tragedy genre.

Other Reviews:

Thirteen Reasons Why is a realistic suicide book. Every little thing a person does counts.
The reason I read this book is because everyone is reading it at the moment, and I've been meaning to for a while.
The main plot is for Clay, the main character, to find out why Hannah Baker killed herself, through some tapes she left.
I liked the main character because he didn't let the little things bothered him, but allowed the big things to hit hard, not to push them down. I didn't like him because he didn't do enough to keep Hannah, to be with her.
I liked this book because I've never read anything like it, and I liked it because of the way it was written. I didn't like it because it's a sensitive topic for me at the moment.
The book was published in 2007.
Overall, I recommend this book for those of you who enjoy light easy reads, but quite serious topics.

Personally I thought it was amazingly done and very realistic. There weren't any embellishments or glorifications, it was true portrayal of teen suicide. We go through the story with Clay while he is listening to Hannah's tapes. The narration goes back and forth between the tapes and what Clay is doing/thinking. I really though this was a great way to pace the story and build up the suspense. And every single page is full of suspense. I really could have stayed up all night reading it.

What an unbelievable book. If you haven’t read it, you should. If your thinking about reading it do it now.

House of Hades book review

Okay since the House of Hades is the last book I've read (last finished book, I'm currently reading MPHFPC right now), I'm gonna make a super-drowning-in-feels review about it hahaha :D

HOUSE. OF. HADES. RUINED. MY. LIFE.

Yeah, seriously! Aside from Uncle Rick is a killing machine, he is also loves trolling :D (To Uncle Rick, don't be mad, this is a compliment ) When it came to the diaper god's scene (Cupid), I was like this all the time:

*facepalm* "I had a crush on Percy Jackson. That's the truth. That's the biggest secret." *another facepalm*

And that's it. End post. Just kidding haha  . I was surprised, (of course, I think everyone did. Everyone was shocked and have different reactions, because Uncle Rick is a good troller lol I mean, good author, very effective *nods*) Like, Nico is a son of Hades, which is, he has a dark aura, isolated, quiet but incredible etc. type of personality, and like what the hell Nico is gay?! Of all son of gods, Hades' son?? It says that he left Camp Half-Blood for his feelings (for love - whatever.), and it is stated that the reason why Nico is isolated and he didn't stay in Camp Half-Blood is because he wanted to get rid of his feelings. But for me, it is so normal for a child of Hades to be isolated, separated, short-tempered and not appproachable because of course, his godly parent is the god of the Underworld, and so they have dark auras and all. I mean, that's their type and behavior. The scene when Nico gets nervous because he knows what Cupid is talking about, it was really intense, I felt it, really haha image.
All in all, my reaction is: I hate cliffhangers and those open-ended scenes >w< Because of it, I'm craving for the dam Blood Of Olympus badly! :D :3 I want to know what's next on everything ~!!
This doesn't looked like a review. More like a rant (deal with it :3). So maybe I shouldn't entitled this post 'review'. So to make this a review, I'll add some "reviews"  (deal with it again :3) about some other scenes. Like on the last scene, Percy says 'hello' to the stars for Bob. I felt sorry for Damsen & Bob because evils-turned-to-good type of characters are just so heroic. And, another thing, I'm not a Percabeth shipper, so I'm not so affected by the cliffhanger and I didn't hate Uncle Rick for that :D hahaha Other Percabeth shippers be like:
Uncle Rick cause a lot of chaos :3 Like, many demigods are trying to guess the meaning of the prophecy, especially the line "An oath to keep with a final breath". Everytime an HoO character makes a promise or swears, they always say that this and that character will die @.@ No one knows :3
